Need a Working Smoke or CO Alarm?
Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department is committed to ensuring every household in our community is equipped with the tools needed for early fire and carbon monoxide detection. A properly installed and maintained alarm could be the difference between life and death in an emergency.
Why Are Smoke and CO Alarms So Vital?
- Smoke Alarms provide early warning in the event of a fire, giving you and your family critical time to evacuate safely.
- Carbon Monoxide Alarms alert you to the presence of CO gas—a silent, invisible threat that can be fatal if left undetected.
Fires and carbon monoxide incidents can escalate quickly. Having the right alarms in place dramatically improves your chances of survival.
Request an Alarm Installation
If your home does not have a functioning smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector—or if you’re unsure if your alarms are working properly—we encourage you to submit a request. Our department will:

- Schedule a visit (as availability allows)
- Install alarms or check existing devices
- Provide guidance on alarm placement and maintenance
There is no cost for this service to eligible residents within our service area.
