Road Closure

Motorist are advised to use an alternate route between 1000 North and 950 North on 400 East in Jackson Township. Fire units are on scene with a vehicle that damaged a utility pole. Kankakee Valley REMC is responding to repair a snapped power pole with lines down across the roadway.

* WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

* WHEN…Until 3 PM CST /4 PM EST/ Monday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Periods of wind-whipped snow showers tonight
through Monday morning may result in locally hazardous travel
conditions due to snow coating some roads and areas of blowing
snow from the strong winds.
